Mimi Faust Reveals What’s Really Going On With Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Cast Getting Fired

MimiFaust11_article6  Last week, rumors started popping up on the Internet that the entire cast of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ were getting the hatchet due to the show’s producers growing tired of the endless, (and unwanted), drama among the various stars.

Cast member Mimi Faust then broke her silence about the dramatic news, calling the allegations “a big lie”, adding that the news does add drama and interest to the show that Faust called one of VH1’s most popular.

However, another angle may be the possibility of the producers themselves leaking the rumors might have been a stroke of genius. Because let us be honest, sometimes you gotta rattle your sword around when the workers get comfortable and/ or ungrateful. And if you’ve been keeping up with your scripted shows, like ‘Game of Thrones’, you’ll know that writers are and producers are warming up to the idea of ’86-ing large groups of a TV show’s cast to let audiences know that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is on the table of possibilities at any given time.

I can assure you it keeps the cast of ‘Game of Thrones’ on their A-game at all moments. It’s a little thing called, “Keeping them on their toes.”

While this may not be the most encouraging way to run a show, it sure seems to do the trick most of the time. We all get comfortable and a little shake-up every now and again gets the blood flowing and gets you back on point.

‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ has seen its changes in featured characters through its five seasons, so a full on axing could be a very different kind of drama than what fans are accustomed to, but maybe once they see it… it could really up the ante per episode and lift the show’s ratings even more.

It wouldn’t just be “jumping the shark” (extreme changes to story for the sake of ratings), it would be jumping ON to the shark and stabbing it in the face.

Again, I may have to throw this one back at you, dear readers… and what you would think if the show took such an extreme direction.

Yay? Or nay?
